Nanolumens — NovaStar H5
Project Overview
Installation and commissioning of a P1.56 LED display in the Boston security room of a global athletic apparel company. The display brings multiple sources into a shared view, keeping essential information at the operators’ fingertips.
System
The display used a 10 × 6 panel configuration at P1.56, processed through a NovaStar H5. The installed system included four 4K inputs and two sending cards for multi-window operation.
Challenge
The client requested ten simultaneous windows, but the installed configuration supported eight while retaining the HDMI 2.0 input setup. Moving to HDMI 1.3 was identified as an alternative for increasing the window count, with a tradeoff in input capability.
Execution
The Boston crew completed the installation and commissioning ahead of schedule. During processor setup, the available window capacity was checked and the limitation explained to the client so the operating layouts reflected what the installed system could support.
Outcome
The team delivered a clean installation ahead of schedule, with eight simultaneous windows available in the installed configuration. The client received a clear explanation of the processing limitation and the tradeoff involved in pursuing ten windows.
