Project Overview

A 52-foot-wide outdoor LED display installed at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. PETUKHOV provided field engineering, installation leadership, deployment coordination, and commissioning support for the project. Installed above a busy downtown intersection, the display required careful planning, structural coordination, and elevated installation procedures to ensure a safe and efficient deployment.

Challenge

The primary challenge was integrating the display into a steel structure that had already been engineered around the architectural constraints of the building. Because the display was installed at elevation above a busy downtown intersection, every stage of the deployment required careful coordination between installation crews, traffic management personnel, and site stakeholders to maintain safe conditions for both workers and pedestrians.

Execution

Working within the structural limitations of the mounting system, the installation team coordinated rigging, panel placement, power distribution, and commissioning activities while maintaining strict safety procedures throughout the deployment. Special attention was given to material handling, lift operations, and traffic management due to the location's constant pedestrian and vehicle activity.

Outcome

The display was successfully commissioned and delivered ahead of schedule. The completed installation provides a highly visible digital landmark for the Broward County Convention Center and downtown Fort Lauderdale while meeting the project's structural, operational, and scheduling requirements.
