Project Overview
Working with Immense AV, we led the Orlando team in deploying a large-format LED wall for an Olympic Committee event. The design used a subtle faceted curve on both edges of the display, bringing the canvas inward and creating a more immersive environment for the audience.
System
The wall featured new HOB LED panels recently added to Immense AV’s inventory. Their matte surface significantly reduced reflections and gave the display a clean, uniform appearance both in person and on camera.
Challenge
The display needed to feel appropriately scaled for the room without becoming a conventional flat backdrop. The faceted edges introduced additional alignment considerations, with each transition needing to remain clean while maintaining the intended geometry of the overall canvas.
Execution
The center of the wall was built flat, with carefully aligned facets progressively bringing the outer edges toward the audience. The Orlando crew handled the geometry and alignment smoothly, allowing the deployment to stay on schedule throughout the week.
Outcome
The slight curvature made a noticeable difference in how the display occupied the room, creating a more immersive presentation without requiring a fully curved LED system. Combined with the matte finish of the HOB panels, the finished wall delivered strong image quality with minimal glare and worked particularly well within the event environment.
